Ritual

The ritual of the Order commemorates the role of Alfred the Great in paving the way for the succession of Athelstan.

Members hold one of three progressive grades:

• Knight (KAG) or Knight Emeritus (KEAG)
• Knight Commander (KCAG)
• Knight Grand Cross (GCAG)
